Přiblížil se nám konec školního roku a po ohlédnutí zpět na začátek musíme všichni uznat, jak obrovský kus práce a pokrok jsme za celý rok udělali. Všechny děti se naučily plynule číst a psát v češtině a získaly základy ve čtení a psaní také v angličtině, na kterých budeme stavět a prohlubovat je v dalších letech. Nemalou pozornost také zaslouží matematika, kde jsou dnes děti schopné používat při počítání a řešení úloh oba jazyky. Také v hudební výchově, tělocviku, výtvarné výchově a pracovních činnostech nebylo třeba si dopomáhat češtinou vůbec, protože si děti velmi rychle zvykly na spontánní komunikaci a přijímání informací v angličtině, což ve velké míře prohlubovalo jejich jazykové znalosti.
Náš rok byl opravdu nabitý velkým množstvím učiva, které jsme pomocí motivace, hravé formy podání a díky různorodosti aktivit hravě zvládli. Mnohokrát jsme se podívali do knihovny, kde nás vždy čekal zajímavý program, do Vida centra, také jsme měli doplňující výukové programy s lektory přímo ve třídě a integrovanou tematickou výuku. Byl to také rok nečekaných událostí, kterými jsme prošli naprosto bravurně. Je pro nás radost pracovat s tak šikovnými dětmi a výborně spolupracujícími a nápomocnými rodiči, což považujeme za neméně důležité.
Od začátku roku byl koncept výuky jasný, zásadní bylo podporovat a prohlubovat u dětí bilingvismus. Po ohlédnutí se zpět musíme uznat, že se nám tento nový koncept podařilo splnit. U dětí vidíme velké pokroky v komunikaci v angličtině nejen my vyučující, ale jistě i rodiče doma. Děti si rozšířily slovní zásobu a zlepšily svoje komunikační dovednosti nejen v angličtině, ale i v češtině. Obrovské množství angličtiny jak v hodinách, tak o přestávkách je na dětech znát. V hodinách vyučovaných v angličtině byla vždy přítomna plně kvalifikovaná učitelka s nadstandardní znalostí anglického jazyka a náš pan učitel, rodilý mluvčí, který v budově školy mluví pouze anglicky. Žáci přijímají přechody z češtiny do angličtiny naprosto přirozeně. Je krásné sledovat, jak se vyvíjí. Nemalý přínos má i pár žáků v naší třídě, kteří mají angličtinu jako rodný jazyk a přirozeně tak vybízí ostatní žáky ke komunikaci v angličtině v průběhu dne v hodinách, ale i mimo vyučovací hodiny například o přestávkách, při obědě, obědové pauze a ve chvílích, kdy spolu děti spontánně komunikují.
Nejdůležitější pro nás je, aby do školy chodily rády nejen děti, ale i vyučující. Troufáme si říci, že podle ohlasů a našeho hodnocení se nám obojí za tento super školní rok podařilo.
The end of the school year is approaching, and after looking back at the beginning we must all acknowledge how much work and progress we have made over the year. All children have learned to read and write fluently in Czech and have acquired the basics for reading and writing in English, which we will build on and deepen in the years to come. Mathematics also deserves considerable attention, where today the children are able to use both languages when counting and solving
problems. Also in music education, physical education, art education and work activities, it was not necessary to help each other with Czech at all, because the children very quickly got used to spontaneous communication and receiving information in English, which greatly deepened their language skills.
Our year was really full of a lot of curriculum, which we managed to do playfully with the help of motivation, playful forms of presentation and thanks to a variety of activities. We went to the library many times, where we always had an interesting program, the Vida Center, and we also had additional teaching programs with lecturers in the classroom and integrated thematic teaching. It was also a year of unexpected events that we went through absolutely brilliantly. It is a pleasure for us to work with such skillful children as well as well-cooperating and helpful parents, which we consider no less important.
From the beginning of the year, the concept of teaching was clear: it was essential to support and deepen bilingualism in the children. Looking back, we must acknowledge that we have succeeded in realizing this new concept. For children, we have seen great progress in communication in English not only for us teachers, but also for parents at home. The children expanded their vocabulary and improved their communication skills not only in English but also in Czech. A huge amount of English is known to the children both in class and during breaks. During classes taught in English, there has always been a fully qualified teacher with an above-standard knowledge of English along with our teacher, a native speaker, who speaks only English in the school building. Pupils accept transitions from Czech to English quite naturally. It is beautiful to watch them evolve. There are also a number of pupils in our class who have English as their mother tongue and naturally encourage other pupils to communicate in English during classes and also outside classes, for example during breaks, lunch, lunch breaks and moments when children communicate spontaneously.
It is most important for us that not only the children but also teachers like to go to school. We dare say that according to the responses and our evaluation, we have managed both well throughout this great school year.
